Promoting your website
Using this method you would decide on an topic to write about … ideally a topic that is related to your website. Then create a well written 500 – 700 word article on this topic. The article should provide useful high quality content. At the bottom of this article you want write a couple of sentences with links embedded to your website.
When the article is finished you would then submit it to an “article directory”, and place the sentences you created with your embedded website links at the end of the article in what is called the “Bio” or “Resource” box. This way when a reader clicks on your link they will be taken to your website for more information.
The real power of article marketing is in the link(s) you provide in your Bio box. These links are called backlinks, as they link back to your website. Article directories allow their readers to copy and paste any of the articles listed in their directory to other websites, as long as they include your Bio box information. for many webmasters (website owners) are constantly in search of good quality content to place on their website for their readers. So even though you may only submit your article to 10 directories, it could very well end up on 100s of different websites. This not only gives your article more exposure and more free traffic to your website for weeks, months, and years to come, but more backlinks. For your article will remain listed on your submitted directories for ever.
Backlinks are one way of creating off-site Search Engine Optimization (SEO). And the more backlinks your site has the better it will rank in the search engines, for if your article ends up being listed #1 on the first page of a search result in Google … well then … congratulations are in order … for your website is going to get tons more of exposure and tons more of free traffic. And … more traffic = higher conversions = more sales = increased profits!!! Obtaining this type of listing in Google is one of the ultimate goals of all serious Internet marketers.
To get the best results from your articles you need to ensure it is designed so that it grabs the reader’s attention … then pulls him in … so that he keeps reading … leaving him wanting more information … causing him to click on your link and visiting your website. Generating Sales for Affiliate Products
Using this method of article marketing works similarly to the previous method. The main difference being is that you would create an article usually in the style of a review and/or talking about a problem the reader may have and then offer the product as solution … thus per-selling them … and leaving the reader wanting more information … which in turns leads them to clicking on the link in your article’s Bio box. However instead of the link taking them to your website … you would embed a link to send the reader to your product vendor’s sale page. If the product fits their need and the sales page is well written they are likely to purchase the product … thus you make money by collecting a nice commission every time your readers purchase this product through your affiliate article link. This method of article marketing is sometimes called “Bum Marketing”, for you don’t even need a website to apply this method.
Regardless of which method you are using you should submit your articles to numerous article directories to get the most exposure and best results.
